Meet Andreas Dimzas, photographer and Christina Pelteki, stylist and owners of “Mumshandmade” swimwear. This talented married duo is the brain and soul behind Sea You Soon SS16 campaign. Shot at the south eastern most tip of the Attica peninsula in Greece, they featured their hand knitted crochet swimsuits and styled these perfectly with our new range of lightweight beach towels.
Here is what they told us about themselves and their personal insights into beach living:
Tell us a bit of your work and what turns your common vision into a successful business.
The idea came up out of the blue when watching both of our mums knitting beanies and headbands during winter time. This was the start up. Located in a warm country like Greece, it was not long after that we have decided to start the production of our crochet swimsuits. Made entirely out of cotton, “Mumshandmade” is purely homemade, made by local women in the North part of the country and are sold exclusively through our eshop.
Where do you gain your inspiration and passion for your work?
Inspiration comes from the sea when it comes to the development of our swimwear line. Passion comes from within. That’s just how we were born.
Which project are you currently most proud of?
That should definitely be our brand new custom made eshop where you can directly buy your crochet swimwear and accessories.
Your ideal summer hideout and why?
Kriaritsi in Halkidiki is a perfect place to free camp. A sandy beach where we spend a minimum of 10 days waking up by the sea. A beautiful location that is overlooking Mount Athos, filled with energy and stunning sunsets. Definitely a place to visit.
